Paints and Me….
Painting for me is a
new medium for expressing my heart and mind. Till date I have used a very basic
material like pencils and charcoals for my work. For me my work has always been
an expression of my heart and mind and my intentions has been to paint the beauty
of the world we live in.
The aim of my work
is to convey an experience of timelessness through colors. Colors in connection
with forms such as human figures in action or landscape can have transforming
effects on people. There is an extraordinary energy in color- deep
interconnections with life itself.
Recently I was
introduced to different kinds of paintings like neo-classicism, realism,
expression or impression. With time art has evolved and so has the artist.
Every types introduced are unique. All have a different approach with
unimaginable mediums with a new idea and style. All these types of painting made
me think and helped me understand art better. At first I could relate myself
with all of these artists, like with some I had a similar mind set and with
some the approach.
The types of
painting that attracted me the most are realism and surrealism. Reason for the
same being are realism is where you actually portray the scenes you see and
feel and surrealism is where you can use your imagination with the actual
situation. Both of these types need a lot of precision because the feeling
shown should be understood by the audience and it should create an impact.
These paintings are a challenge to create as one has to be clear with his
thoughts and its execution.
This understanding
regarding these types of painting has been given to me by artist “Camille
Corot: and “David Hatton”. I really admire these artists and wish to be like
one. To gain such precision and lucidity one needs to create mind maps to
implement the thoughts or feelings and practice the art again and again. There
is a very old and simple saying “practice makes a man perfect”. I shall
implement all the said things and one fine day shall be one of them. To achieve
this dream is shall start with oil paints as my medium and when I gain more
grip on my work shall move on non-traditional method to experiment and use my
imaginations and as we all know for an artist “sky is the limit.”
